Stephen Garland is an International Event Manager, currently studying with the UCD Innovation Academy. Diagnosed with PPMS in 2016 and unhappy with the 'No Treatment, No Cure' prognosis he was given, he became his own self-medical advocate that took him to a non FDA approved HSCT treatment in Moscow that has successfully stopped the unstoppable disease. 3 years post his Stem Cell transplant he has definitively saved himself from a wheelchair and a very bad end of life. The damage done is the damage done with MS unfortunately and Stephen still suffers pain for which he has been self-medicating to ease symptoms illegally for years. He has also recently finished a course on Medical Cannabis with the University of Boulder Colorado.

For this first talk Stephen will be joined by a legend of the MedCanna cause...
Tom Curran is a director of Exit and has been the organisation’s Europe Coordinator based in the Irish Republic since 2010.
Tom has over thirty years experience in the use of cannabis in treating the symptoms of MS.
He has become an active campaigner, not only for a right to die law in Ireland but for drug law reform including the use of cannabis as a medicine.
