Home to one of Granard's most well known and best loved families, 'Fays' founded and built by the legendary couple Paul and the late Carmel Fay (sadly passed RIP), the bar has been central to just about every event to take place in the town and from my earliest pints (have been known to partake in the odd one) has been something of the local for my family for my entire life!
The bar continues in the capable hands of daughter Sinéad who has stepped into her mothers shoes and seamlessly continued the renowned welcome synonymous with the bar. The boss Paul is also the legendary local bookmaker and coupled with Carmel's family's links to Racing the bar is a must visits for Sports and racing lovers.
A totally unsolicited offer at the time gave all the proceeds of their annual Xmas hamper raffle in 2016 to the campaign when in its earliest days to help get the ball rolling...
